A.P. Rott worked for a long time on implementing the idea of how wonderful sunsets can be used for his work. The largest monumental sculpture was created with a height of almost 9 m and a weight of 2.2 t. The SUNCATCHER catches the rays of the setting sun with the cascading differently polished stainless-steel spheres, the sunbeam, and recharges itself energetically. The mighty sculpture reflects vitality, dynamism, motivation and metaphorically transports light, warmth and hope into our lives – a beacon that inspires us daily.

How does one capture sunrays and guide them into the specially designed red maw?
Area Morphology
Depending on the viewing angle and distance, the hologram grit of the body reveals the “veins” as a vital flow. The spheres are guided into the body with different grits and polishes.
